BioVector® PLum-AI is an engineered mouse prostate cancer cell line derived from transgenic mouse models. 1. General Product Information

  • Molecular Profile:PTEN deletion; P53 deletion; Androgen Receptor (AR) signaling may be bypassed or altered; exhibits castration-resistant characteristics.

  • Growth Properties: Adherent.

  • Morphology: Epithelial-like or spindle-shaped; exhibits high heterogeneity and distinct features of malignant transformation.

2. Culture Conditions

  • Basal Medium: BioVector® PrEGM (Prostate Epithelial Cell Growth Medium) or DMEM/F-12 (1:1).

  • Serum Supplement: 5% - 10% BioVector® Fetal Bovine Serum (FBS). For studying androgen independence, Charcoal-Stripped FBS (CT-FBS) is strictly required.

  • Supplements: Insulin, Epidermal Growth Factor (EGF), and Bovine Pituitary Extract (BPE).

  • Incubation: 37°C, 5% CO2.

  • Subculturing: 1:3 to 1:6 ratio.
