Description: pHxB2 Env V570A Organism: Human immunodeficiency virus Biosafety Level: 1 Availability Status: In Stock Store at: Room temperature, protected from moistureARP-12289 contains a cloned full-length, infectious human immunodeficiency virus DNA clone, pHxB2 Env V570A. The mutation renders the virus more susceptible to antibodies and antivirals which bind to the fusion intermediate of HIV Env. For this reason, it provides a sensitive indicator virus for measuring serum neutralization in samples from gp41 vaccinated animals. The size of this construct is 16,384 base pairs including the insert. Note: ARP-12289 cannot be passaged in PBMC because the mutation is not stable. For this reason, viral stocks are prepared each time by transfecting 293 cells.. Each vial of ARP-12289 contains approximately 17 µg of dried purified DNA stabilized in DNAstable® PLUS.
