pKC1132 is a suicide vector that can be used for cloning and homologous recombination experiments such as gene deletions and disruptions. It is a conjugative, non-integrative plasmid that can be used to make constructs in E. coli that can be transferred by conjugation into Streptomyces species.1 It also contains a lacZa gene to allow for blue/white screening of recombinant clones in E. coli.
