LAD2 cells

Key characteristics:

• Origin: Derived from CD34+ cells obtained from the bone marrow of a patient with aggressive mastocytosis.

• Phenotype: Expresses functional FcεRI and FcγRI receptors, CD4, 9, 13, 22, 45, 64, 71, 103, 117, 132, CCR5, and CXCR4.

• Growth characteristics: Requires stem cell factor (SCF) for growth and proliferates slowly.

• Functional responses: Capable of degranulation in response to immunologic stimuli.

Research applications:

• Allergy and immunology: Investigating the mechanisms of allergic reactions and the role of mast cells in allergic diseases.

• Mast cell-related diseases: Studying the pathogenesis of mastocytosis and other mast cell-related disorders.
