pAdenoVator-CMV5 is a new Ad transfer vector designed for high expression level of recombinant proteins. The CMV5 promoter contains the CMV promoter itself as well as enhancer sequences followed by the tripartite leader and the splicing sites present in the Ad5 MLP. It also contains an optimized Kozak sequence for efficient mRNA translation, resulting in a significant increase in protein expression levels compared to a standard CMV promoter. The use of a powerful constitutive promoter such as CMV5 greatly expands the range of cells in which high expression level of recombinant proteins can be achieved.
