K667 strain has the following additional mutations:
ade2-1, can1-100, his3-11, 15 leu2-3, 112 trp1-1, and ura 3-1.
The yeast K667 triple mutant (∆pmc1∆vcx1∆cnb1) is unable to grow in the presence of higher CaCl2 because low affinity Ca2+ transport is compromised in the mutant.
